Family History Souper Bowl CookOff Details
This event combines a great meal with a fabulous opportunity to learn about how to help your ancestors on the other side of the veil. Every class starts at 10am & repeats every 45 minutes Topics Covered: 1) Getting signed up and logged in (prerequisite for the rest of the instruction) 2) Family History 101 - My Family (Who are they) 3) What is INDEXING 4) Get Un-Stuck — talk to a specialist Souper-Bowl Lunch served at 12:30 Classes resume at 1:15pm Winners of the Cook-off announced at 2:10 pm. Bring a friend! It's gonna be a Souper time!
Temple Trip to Fort Lauderdale
This event involves a temple trip to the Fort Lauderdale Temple on February 21, 2026. Participants should arrive by 6:00 AM on Saturday morning at the Stake Center Building, located at 9001 106th Ave., Largo, FL. The trip includes a four-hour-plus bus ride each way, departing promptly at 6:30 AM from Largo and returning from Fort Lauderdale at 2:30 PM. Accommodations on the bus include overhead bin storage, on-board Wi-Fi, and a restroom. Attendees are advised to bring a blanket, liquids, and snacks of their choice, and pizza will be provided for the ride home. The cost is $40, payable by cash or check to the Bishopric, with payment to be enclosed with a tithing slip marked 'Other – Feb 21st Temple Trip.' Payment is required as soon as possible, and seats are first come, first served. Participants may choose to drive separately or join the bus. Endowment sessions are available at 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM, and attendees are encouraged to make their temple ordinance reservations early.
